FUI

The Filière Universitaire Internationale (International University Stream) of the Polytechnicien engineering entrance exam is aimed at foreign students pursuing higher education in international universities, with an excellent level of scientific knowledge (see the essential concepts required in mathematics and physics). 

Entry requirements

• be under 25 years of age on January 1 of the year of the competition
• not be of French nationality - in the event of dual nationality, including French nationality, the latter will be taken into account. These candidates must apply via the Filière Universitaire Française.
• not have pursued higher scientific studies in a French higher education establishment (excluding university exchanges)
• have completed at least 2 years of higher education in science or engineering. Only candidates in their final year of 1st cycle studies (licence, bachelor at their home university) at the time of the tests may apply.
• may apply and take the university entrance exams only once
• meet the physical fitness requirements set by the Ministry of Defense, and verified at the time of admission by the École's chief medical officer

Knowledge of French is not a prerequisite for taking part in the competition. All application procedures and examinations can be conducted in English.
