Giry Cédric

Cédric Giry is an associate professor at the Ecole Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay, in the civil engineering department. He develops his research activities at the LMT (Mechanics and Technology Laboratory) on the analysis of civil engineering structures subjected to static and severe loads (earthquake). He also develops tools dedicated to the modeling of cracking of reinforced concrete structures and old masonry structures. He is in charge of the Thematic Research Unit "Dynamics and behavior of civil engineering structures" at the LMT. He teaches at ENS Paris-Saclay on several topics related to his research interests: vibrations and waves, structural mechanics, earthquake engineering, numerical methods, thermodynamic framework of material behavior, material behavior and finite element methods.
