Méléard Sylvie

Sylvie Méléard was a student at the École normale supérieure de Fontenay-aux-Roses (sciences), is an agrégée in mathematics and defended her thesis in 1984 under the supervision of Nicole El Karoui at the University of Paris VI. She became a professor at the University of Paris X before teaching, as a professor of probability, at the École Polytechnique since September 2006. She is currently chair of the Applied Mathematics Department at École Polytechnique and head of the Modeling for the Evolution of Life team at École Polytechnique.
