The Financial Risk Chair, hosted by the Risk Foundation, led by Nicole El Karoui, professor emeritus at Sorbonne University, alongside Huyên Pham, professor at École Polytechnique, and supported by Société Générale, École des Ponts, École Polytechnique and its Foundation, and Sorbonne University, offers an excellent teaching program combining mathematics and finance. It provides students with unique opportunities to meet key players in the financial markets and discuss the place and role of quantitative profiles.
The X-Forum, an annual event dedicated to employability and bringing together students from École Polytechnique and Institut Polytechnique de Paris with companies, took place on November 25 and 26. More than 150 companies were able to interact with nearly 2,000 participants, including 1,000 École Polytechnique students.
The First Job Survey of the class of 2019 confirms the diversity of graduates' career paths and the fact that the vast majority of 2024 graduates of the Cycle ingénieur polytechnicien find employment or continue their studies in France six months after graduation. Two new features in this edition of the First Job Survey: a survey of graduates on their contribution to the UN's sustainable development goals in the context of their employment, and a more detailed analysis of the professions of graduates recruited by companies.
Created in 2008 and supported ever since by EDF, the École Polytechnique's Sustainable Energy Chair, headed by François Willaime, expert fellow at the CEA and lecturer at École Polytechnique, has established itself as a major player in training future experts in low-carbon energy, particularly nuclear energy.

From 21 to 24 October, Seoul host one of the most important events in the electronics and IT industry calendar: the Korea Electronics Show (KES). During the event, Tinental, a start-up founded by Elin Flyger and Nicolò Luppi, received the ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) Innovation Award. This green technology company aims to reduce energy consumption at industrial sites using artificial intelligence.

A survey carried out by École Polytechnique’s Executive Master shows that its 250 alumni acknowledge that the prgram has helped to speed-up their careers and increase their salaries. These results confirm the relevance of the program's positioning and reinforce École Polytechnique's legitimacy in executive training.

Thanks to the commitment of its patrons, École Polytechnique hosted an international scientific workshop devoted to complex systems, a major challenge in modern engineering. This event, organised as part of the Complex Systems Architecture Chair (ASC) at the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, and made possible thanks to the support of Dassault Systèmes, Dassault Aviation, KNDS France, Naval Group, the French Defence Procurement Agency and the Defence Innovation Agency, brought together world-renowned experts to explore new methods for analysing and certifying these systems.
Every year, the Useful Fictions international summer school, initiated by the Arts & Sciences Chair and now run by the Useful Fictions Lab programme at the SPIRAL interdisciplinary centre, brings together artists, researchers and citizens around a common theme. The fifth edition, devoted to the atmosphere in all its dimensions, concluded on 5 and 6 September with an exhibition of the various projects at the Centre Wallonie–Bruxelles in Paris.

From sustainable development to artificial intelligence, these chairs combine research, training and openness, illustrating the school's academic excellence and concrete impact on society.
Start-ups created by École Polytechnique's alumni or supported by X-UP, École Polytechnique's incubator, still account for a quarter of the list of 40 French Next40 start-ups, which has been thoroughly revised in 2025.
