Evolution of the Education and Research activities of Institut Polytechnique de Paris

FRANCE, April 4, 2023 – The Education and Research activities of Institut Polytechnique de Paris are evolving with the creation of two new committees. Replacing the existing Education and Research Committee (CER), these two new committees are: the Education Committee and the Research Committee. Both of their presidents are members of the Executive Committee of Institut Polytechnique de Paris. A joint committee (CCER) has also been set up to examine subjects that cut across both committees. Dominique Rossin is appointed President of the Education Committee, and Kees Van Der Beek is appointed President of the Research Committee.

The Education Committee (CE) is responsible for the overall education mission of IP Paris and contributes to defining the orientations and the overall organization of teaching activities. The Education Committee guarantees the quality and the overall positioning of IP Paris’ educational offer and establishes a permanent dialogue with the Research units, the departments, the Academic Council, the heads of Master’s programs, the Graduate School and the interdisciplinary centers.

The Research Committee (CR) is in charge of examining all research related issues within all IP Paris scientific disciplines. It establishes a permanent dialogue with the research units, departments and interdisciplinary centers and plays a coordinating role on research issues with IP Paris departments, interdisciplinary centers and laboratories.

Dominique and Kees will prefigure the organization of the Committees which will be finalized in the coming weeks after review by the Institute's governing bodies.
