Cultural life
Are you a newcomer to École Polytechnique? You don't know the library? The BCX therefore suggests that you schedule a visit to our premises (individual or in a group) during which our documentary mediator will explain how the library works and present our various spaces and resources to you.
Throughout the year, as part of its missions, the library organizes cultural and historical exhibitions. The BCX makes its reception hall available free of charge to people and associations wishing to present their works and activities.

- Current exhibition
- Virtual exhibition: the library, in its cultural approach, does not hesitate to set up new multimedia tools and offers its users exhibitions in virtual format, accessible to everyone and at any time of the day. Discover our virtual exhibitions via our YouTube channel.
Rendez-vous with an author
The premises of the BCX become a scene of meetings with some authors. During an on-screen interview, the BCX gives a voice to writers, researchers and young talents who seek to promote their works, linked to the École Polytechnique, to the world of science and University life.
Animations & events
Throughout the year, the BCX offers students and School staff numerous cultural events that highlight its rich documentary background.
- Coups de cœur : each month the library team selects books that have marked them. An overview of this selection is published on the BCX social networks and the full selection of the month is available at the reception of the École Polytechnique library.
- Regard sur : to enable users to discover its collections and documentary holdings, the library has set up a regular activity entitled “Regard sur”. "Regard sur" is a selection of books present at the reception that deal with a topical subject. The topics covered vary according to the events and the seasons.
