Purchase proposal & donation management

If you cannot find the document you are looking for in our documentary collection, send us a purchase proposal (form available only from the École Polytechnique network).

You will be contacted when we receive your document.
 

The École Polytechnique library can accept donations of books, journals, scientific or private archives. However, audiovisual documents are not accepted.

Before accepting a donation, the library checks whether the documents offered are in line with the training and research themes of the École Polytechnique, the state of the documents, and whether the volume of the donation is compatible with the storage possibilities from the library.

• For less recent or slightly damaged books or manuals, the library can offer you to make them directly available to readers: this is a donation from readers to readers, without passing through the library's collections.
   

Procedure

• The donor is asked to complete and sign the downloadable form which must be sent with the books.
• Delivery and transport costs are the responsibility of the donor (except by special arrangement with the library).
• You can also contact a librarian on site at the library, by phone or by email.
