Dr. Grégory Danoun
After a Ph.D. (2007-2010) on the total synthesis of natural products under the supervision of Jean-François Poisson and Andrew Greene in Grenoble, France, Dr. Danoun joined the group of Marc Taillefer (Montpellier, France) as a post-doctoral researcher where I had the opportunity to work on catalysis. In 2012, he decided to continue in this field in the group of Lukas Gooßen (Kaiserslautern, Germany), particularly on developing original C-H activation and trifluoromethylation cross-couplings. Then, Dr. Danoun combined his experiences in total synthesis and catalysis by joining the group of Olivier Baudoin (Lyon, France).
In 2015, Dr. Danoun was appointed CNRS researcher at the Laboratoire de Chimie Moléculaire of the Ecole polytechnique. First, he was interested in cobalt catalysis for cross-coupling reactions and is currently developing new catalysts or catalytic systems involving f-elements.
Dr. Danoun was appointed assistant professor in charge of the practical courses in the department in 2023.
