École Polytechnique hosts the scientific international conference of the AI Action Summit
An international scientific conference will be held on February 6 and 7 at École Polytechnique, focusing on the impact of the development of artificial intelligence on science and society. This event will take place ahead of the Summit for Action on AI, organized by the French authorities at the Grand Palais in Paris on February 10 and 11.

A new MSc&T “Extended Cinematography” in partnership with ENS Louis-Lumière
From September 2025, École Polytechnique and ENS Louis-Lumière will launch “Extended Cinematography” (XCin), a new Master of Science & Technology, to train image specialists capable of designing tomorrow's tools for virtual production in the viedo and film industries. École Polytechnique thus extends its MSc&T programs, launched in 2016, which today welcome almost 400 students.

École Polytechnique awarded the French Sustainable Campus Label – Label DD&RS
École Polytechnique has been awarded the Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility (Label Développement Durable et Responsabilité Sociétale - DD&RS) by the Collective for the Integration of Social Responsibility in Higher Education (Collectif pour l'Intégration de la Responsabilité Sociétale et du Développement Durable dans l'Enseignement Supérieur - CIRCES). This label confirms the strategy of societal and environmental transformation deployed for many years by École Polytechnique, and supported since 2024 by a dedicated department.

Renewal of the “Space: sciences and challenges of the space sector” Chair
The École polytechnique and the Fondation de l' École polytechnique are renewing the “Space: sciences and challenges of the space sector” teaching chair, with the support of ArianeGroup and Safran. This program, led by Pascal Chabert, initially launched in 2019, contributes to teaching activities and student projects around space, and to the École polytechnique Student Space Center (CSEP).

AI finds its way to the X-Forum 2024
On November 26 and 27, the 32nd edition of X-Forum, the annual event bringing together students from l'X and the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, and over 150 international companies, schools and universities on the X campus, attracted almost 2,000 participants, including 1,000 Polytechnique students. Students from the Cycle ingénieur polytechnicien program, Master's and PhD students from École Polytechnique and other Schools came to meet their future employers.

COP29 side event: Enhancing and Enabling Climate Solutions with Higher Education
Leading École Polytechnique's student delegation to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Patricia Crifo, professor at l'X, participated as a speaker in the official COP29 side event "Enhancing and Enabling Climate Solutions with Higher Education" on 18 November. In addition to Patricia Crifo, also Juan Diego Avila Hurtado, a student in École Polytechnique's Master's program in Economics for Smart Cities and Climate Policy, contributed as a panelist to the conference, which aimed to highlight the transformative impact of higher education institutions in addressing climate change.
