Charles Roques-Carmes is a Polytechnique engineer and is currently a postdoctoral associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Electronics Research Laboratory, where he received his Ph.D. in 2022 after completing a Master's degree in electrical and computer engineering. He is one of the 30 young scientists under the age of 30 honored by the North American edition of Forbes magazine.
École Polytechnique heads once again the top engineering school in the 2023 ranking released by the newspaper Le Figaro, which has published the names and scores of the top ten schools. Three other schools of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, of which X is a founding member, appear in this list of the top 10 French Engineering Schools: Télécom Paris, ENSAE Paris and ENSTA Paris.
Building on the success of the Master of Science and Technology (MScT) Data Science for Business, École Polytechnique ad HEC Paris are deepening their cooperation by launching the Data & Finance double degree program in September 2023. This unique double degree, taught entirely in English, takes place over two years.

École Polytechnique has been awarded the Trophées de l'achat d'innovation (Innovation Procurement Awards) created by the French State Procurement Department for a building management project that optimizes "heating, ventilation and air conditioning" consumption thanks to artificial intelligence. The final international competition, EuroTeQaThon, took place at the Technical University of Munich from November 23 to 25, 2022. The event brought together the best teams from EuroTeQ Engineering University's member institutions, including two teams from École Polytechnique, who presented their innovative solutions to the "Leave No Waste Behind!" competition challenge.
The researchers receive the François Frenkiel Award from the American Physical Society for their work at the Hydrodynamics Laboratory on the modelling of active drops moving in a fluid.
The French Prime Minister, Élisabeth Borne (X81), closed the event organized by École Polytechnique to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the admission of women to the School. The event brought together many alumni and representatives of the Polytechnic community as well as 50 high school female students who aspire to pursue scientific studies.
The final of the world's most prestigious programming contest, the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC), took place from November 6 to 11 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. École’s Polytechnique’s finalists had been preparing for this event for months.
As part of her third year in École Polytechnique’s Bachelor of Science program, Mariam Gedenidze currently studies as an exchange student at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. She is one of the first students to benefit from the new partnership agreement École Polytechnique and NTU signed to facilitate study exchanges for undergraduate students of the two prestigious institutions.
