Antoine Georges, physicist at the Centre for Theoretical Physics and Professor at the Collège de France, has been awarded the Feenberg Memorial Medal along with Gabriel Kotliar and Dieter Vollhardt for his theoretical work on quantum systems consisting of a large number of interacting particles.

Nearly 160 students in the Masters of Science and Technology (MSc&T) program began their studies at École Polytechnique on September 8th and 9th. They took part in a mandatory training course on environmental issues. This training is part of l’X's commitment to the energy and ecological transition.
During its first period of activity, the "Data Science & Industrial Processes" Chair notably allowed for the creation of a training course in data science for students at EMINES, Morocco. The positive outcome led to its renewal for five years in the summer of 2022.
During a three-month visit, two Sudanese researchers, Fatema Mohamed and Maram Ali Ahmed, joined École Polytechnique’s Irradiated Solids Laboratory and strengthened their collaboration with the laboratory’s Theoretical Spectroscopy group on research projects focusing on the simulation of materials’ electronic properties. Moreover, Fatema will join the EuroTech Postdoc2 program in 2023 to pursue her postdoctoral studies in co-supervision at l’X and EPFL.
