An ERC Grant for mathematics applied to biology and medicine
Sylvie Méléard, Professor at the Centre for Applied Mathematics and Member of the Institut Universitaire de France, has been awarded an ERC Advanced Grant to develop her project called SINGER. It will study mathematically specific evolutionary dynamics of cell populations, mainly using stochastic models.

Joris van der Hoeven awarded for his work on the complexity of multiplication
The N.G. de Bruijn Medal 2022 has been awarded to Joris van der Hoeven, researcher at the Computer Science Laboratory. The prize was awarded during the Netherlands Mathematical Congress for his research on the complexity of multiplication with David Harvey from the University of New South Wales.

Civil training in Ivory Coast for two Ingénieur Polytechnicien students
Two students (X2021) completed the civil training part of the Ingénieur Polytechnicien program in Yamoussoukro, at the high school Mamie Adjoua, and at Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët-Boigny.
